The second annual 5K Glow Run benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County is Friday night, April 19th and will be held in downtown Rogers. Registration will begin at 5:00 pm. We have a 400 yard “Super Hero” dash that will start at 6:00 pm for kids 10 and under, a 1-Mile Fun Walk at 6:30 pm, and a 5K chip timed Glow Run at 7:30pm. The race will start in front of Frisco Stage.
Participants are encouraged to glow from head to toe and there will be prizes for the best “super hero” costume for the kids as well as the best costume for the Glow Run will be awarded. There will also be other door prizes. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall finishers and the top 3 of each age category participating in the 5k.
The event will also include “Striker” the mascot from the Naturals baseball team along with the “speed pitch” machine to test your pitching skills. There will be other inflatables, a “Glow Zone” to paint yourself and each other with glow paint and purchase additional “glow gear” as well as much more! Food can be purchased from local vendors throughout the event.
Registration before April 15 is $10 for children participating in the Super Hero dash. Registration for the 1-mile walk and the 5k run is $25 for adults and $15 for students. After April 15 the prices will increase by $5 each.
