Arts & Crafts

War Eagle Mill, War Eagle Fair, and Sharp’s Show all participate in the Fall Craft Fairs in Northwest Arkansas. Hundreds of booths will line across the three festivals from Thursday to Sunday during the third week of October each year. Take in the sights of the War Eagle River, smell the aroma of fresh baked goods and hot food, and shop ’til you drop visiting artisans from all over the country.

Attractions

Daisy Airgun Museum is located just before you get to Highway 12 in Historic Downtown Rogers. The museum houses a collection of airguns dating to the 17th century, and examples of most every Daisy BB gun made. See antique packaging, photos, and advertising that tell the story of this amazing company. The gift shop has exclusive limited edition collectibles that ship anywhere in the U.S.

War Eagle Mill is the only working water-powered grist mill in Arkansas. Organic products, whole grain, flours, meals, mixes, jams, jellies, gifts, kitchen items, crafts, and knives can be found at the gift shop and online. The War Eagle Mill Café serves lunch daily from 10:30am to 4pm and breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am to 10:30am. The Mill is closed in January and February each year.

War Eagle Cavern is just down the road from War Eagle Mill. Stroll along the shore of Beaver Lake to the spectacular natural entrance of War Eagle Cavern! Follow a stream flowing from deep inside a mountain. Stand beneath rare soaring domes and a vast array of cave formations, fossils, rimstone dams, and waterfalls. Meet a bat up close. Learn about bluff-dwellers, outlaws, moonshiners and explorers. Enjoy short scenic nature trails along the cavern rim and lakeshore. Feed the fish in Beaver Lake. Pan for semi-precious gemstones. Browse through a most unique rock and gift shop. Come by car or come by boat.

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is down the road in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Visit the largest Big Cat refuge in the World!  Turpentine Creek rescues lions, tigers, and other large cats in distress anywhere in the U.S. Let the trained staff of biologist and zoologist guide you around the new natural enclosures. Get up close and personal with all the animals. Lodging is available on site in lodge, tree house, or safari tents.

Golf Course

Prairie Creek Country Club is a great spot to try out your swing at one of the many golf course Rogers and Northwest Arkansas have to offer. 18 Hole championship golf course with a unique blend of Ozark Mountains, valleys, spring-fed streams, bent grass greens, and Bermuda fairways. Course is open to the public.

Guides

Bailey’s Beaver Lake Guide Service led by Mike Bailey, will offer you a native guide to the area for Striper and Walleye fishing.  The lake record is 64+ lbs and has an average fish size of 15lbs. Beaver Lake is in the top 5 of the nation for trophy Striper and is also a premiere Walleye fishery.

Big 1’s Striper Guide Service is a full-service fishing guide experience. Boat, gas, all tackle, bait, and fish cleaning are included.  They are open all year and have the ability to accommodate large groups.

Marina

Prairie Creek Marina is great for easy boating, summer fun, and boat docking. Rent pontoon and ski boats, purchase bait and tackle, gas, and supplies.

Museum

Rogers Historical Museum is down the road from the Daisy Airgun Museum in downtown Rogers. Tour the turn-of-the-century Hawkins House, explore hands-on exhibits for children, and local history exhibits.

Rentals

Beaver Lake Outdoor Center is located in Rogers on Prairie Creek – the gateway to Beaver Lake. With almost 30,000 acres of water and over 480 miles of shoreline, you’ll find plenty to do on the water. Beaver Lake Outdoor Center has rentals on kayaks, stand up paddle boards, mountain bikes, tubes, and jet skiis. Open 7 days a week, weather permitting.

 

Restaurants

Sam’s Olde Tyme Hamburgers serves fresh ground hamburgers, fresh cut fries, homemade soups and desserts, award-winning BBQ ribs, and many other great sandwiches. Large menu with daily specials and friendly, quick service. Now serving breakfast daily!

War Eagle Mill Café serves lunch daily from 10:30am to 4pm and breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am to 10:30am at War Eagle Mill. The Mill’s tradition is serving beans and cornbread, which is not to be missed. Save room for a piece of pie or cobbler! The Mill is closed in January and February each year.

State Park

Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area is Arkansas’ largest state park, with over 12,000 acres in the heart of War Eagle Country. The park offers interpretive programs; a visitor center with an interactive exhibit; hiking trails, including a 1/4 mile, barrier-free historical trail and a 23.5-mile multi-use trail; an all weather public shooting range; regulated seasonal hunting; and undeveloped access to the lake. State HWY 12 bisects the park, and along the way the forest conceals an abundance of unique plants, animals, geological and water features. Visitor Center is open 8am to 5pm daily.
